He was a doctorate program coordinator in the Economic Faculty of University of Indonesia. He was an executive director for Fulbright Exchange Foundation and a Senior Officer in Strategic and Development Policy of Asian Development Bank in Manila, Philippines responsible for providing advisory services in the area of monetary and fiscal policies for the member countries of ADB who received loans from ADB, and to monitor the usage of such loans. He was responsible for the member countries like Indonesia, the Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Laos and other South Pacific countries. He was a member of the Harvard Advisory Group assigned to BAPPENAS for developing strategic planning and control tools called “value added measurements” for state-owned enterprises. He was also a senior advisor to Ministry of Public Infrastructure of Indonesia. A PhD degree holder in strategic management studies from Oregon University, and has been active as a senior lecturer in post-graduate programs in several reputable universities in Indonesia.
